I’ve been a little bit nervous about writing this post since I’m aware that the trials and tribulations of writers may be of limited interest to folk who would rather just read the end-product.

Nevertheless, I think there are a few elements that would be quite interesting to anyone, but no doubt especially to readers who do writing as a major part of what they do in their lives – and of whom there are quite a few personages among my subscriber base.

Basically what I want to talk about is risk, of trusting in fate to deliver you somewhere new and worthwhile, indeed to something like a new home; a place you’ve glimpsed before but not yet surveyed or stepped foot in. It’s a form of faith that relates to ‘the magic’ that I talked about in Part II (on THE FEAR).
